The VP2-1/8 RP repair kit rebuilds the front half of a Brower VP2 series valve that has started to seep, or that no longer shuts off cleanly. The parts in this kit are the ones that actually wear, so a valve that is still sound at the base can be brought back rather than replaced.
This is the 1/8 inch orifice version, built around the VP24 orifice. The smaller opening is what lets the valve hold shut against a high pressure line, so this is the kit for the VP223, the VP226 and the VP227.
The base stays put
When you rebuild the front of a VP2 valve, the valve base and the assembly nut can stay connected to your water supply line. There is no need to break the plumbing at the wall.
Orifices are interchangeable across the VP2 valves, so if your water pressure has changed since the waterer went in, the orifice is the piece that adapts it.

Fits the Brower VP223, VP226 and VP227, the 1/8 inch orifice valves. The base and assembly nut stay on the supply line.
