Installation Recommendations

  • Hand-tighten the Freeze Miser® onto the outdoor faucet, hydrant or hose end.
  • Turn the water supply valve fully open (minimum 10 PSI required).
  • Install the unit in either horizontal or vertical orientation (if vertical, ensure the brass end is pointing downward).
  • Let the device do its job automatically. In extreme cold, a brief higher drip during first calibration is normal.

  • Leave installed through the winter season; remove in spring if desired.
