The VP2-1/4 RP repair kit rebuilds the front half of a Brower VP2 series valve that has started to seep, or that no longer shuts off cleanly. Everything that wears is in this kit, so a valve that is still sound at the base does not have to be replaced outright.

This is the 1/4 inch orifice version, built around the VP26 orifice. The 1/4 inch opening is the wider of the two Brower offers, which is what lets a lower pressure system still fill a trough at a useful rate. It is the kit for the VP221 and the VP224.

The base stays put

When you rebuild the front of a VP2 valve, the valve base and the assembly nut can stay connected to your water supply line. There is no need to break the plumbing at the wall.

Orifices are interchangeable across the VP2 valves, so if your water pressure has changed since the waterer went in, the orifice is the piece that adapts it.
