- An all weather sealant around the base of the unit will prevent air gaps and cold from penetrating the underside of the unit.
- The Omni Series will need electric for the heat system yet will be energy efficient throughout the winter
- If you have high water pressure - water pressure that exceeded 60 PSI may cause the valve to leak. Install a pressure regulator on the line.
- Consider placing a stop and waste valve on the waterline to drain the line back to the original source. Automatic waterer installation are considered long-term and the stop and waste valve will be a nice, not often used, that will protect your line in the event it's not in use.
- Ensure the waterer is installed level.
Each Ritchie automatic waterer will require a buried waterline and a concrete pad.
