The 7 inch ball for the E-Fount 3340E. This is the small one, and the only Miraco drinker ball that fits the 3340E. Nothing else in the range drops into a 6 inch opening, so if that is the unit in your yard, the 438 is the part.
No plug on this one
The 438 is the only Miraco drinker ball without a colored plug, so there is no color to match. Go by size: it is the 7 inch ball, and the smallest Miraco makes.
Why size alone identifies it
The other four balls in the Miraco range all carry a colored plug, which is how you tell those apart. The 438 does not need one. At 7 inches it is three full inches smaller than the next size up and it will not fit any other Miraco cover, so there is nothing to confuse it with.
