A complete valve chamber rebuild for the WaterMatic 100 in a single order. Valve, float and bracket arrive together, which is the difference between finishing the job on Saturday and waiting on a second delivery.

Three parts, one order

  1. Ritchie red 1/2" valve #12575 — rated 40 to 60 PSI.
  2. Ritchie float #13613 — the short arm float, which is the one a WaterMatic 100 takes.
  3. Ritchie valve bracket #11515 — supplied with its screw package.
Why order it as a kit

Because the three parts have to agree with each other. Buy them separately and you are checking a valve against a float against a bracket across three listings, and if one of them is on back order the other two sit in a box while the waterer keeps dripping. One line on the order, one box, one trip out to the unit.

The 100 runs the short arm float

This kit carries the short arm 13613. Ritchie also makes a longer armed float that fits other models in the range, and fitting the wrong one leaves the water sitting too high or too low in the trough. If the arm on your old float looks long, check your model number before going further.

Ritchie 1/2 inch valves by pressure

All three share the same body and thread. What changes is the orifice, so the color tells you the pressure band it is built for.

The valve goes in hand tight

It is not meant to thread in until the threads disappear. Snug it by hand and leave it. A wrench, or an extra half turn of determination, is what splits a valve bracket, and a bracket split that way falls outside the warranty. Ritchie prints the same warning in red on the valve packaging.
